Erin Michelle Collins Biography
Erin Michelle Collins has worked in higher education for twenty-one years. She is the Registrar and Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs at Claremont McKenna College, where she provides strategic leadership to the Office of the Registrar, serving as a champion for innovation, navigating challenges, and furthering the college’s mission. She partners with faculty and administration in academic and data policy discussions, and serves on various committees. Erin’s career in higher education began as an Admissions and Records Technician II for Barstow Community College, where she entered applications for admission, input transfer credit, and maintained student records. She transitioned from a student records management position at Victor Valley College to an Academic Advisor for the University of La Verne – High Desert Regional Campus, where she became an integral part of an accelerated adult education program. She gained valuable leadership, project management, and systems implementation experience as the Associate Registrar and Registrar at California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). As the Registrar for Pomona College for four years, she gained the ability to think strategically when faced with any given scenario, have a desire to learn and continuously improve, the capacity to stimulate personal and group excellence, and the capability to work with and lead a team.
