Diversity Development Committee

The Diversity Development Committee is charged with keeping the Association engaged with issues and activities relevant to equity, diversity and inclusion. It meets during the annual conference and is open to any interested member of the Association willing to commit time and energy to achieving committee goals during the year.

The Diversity Development Committee mission is to promote and develop diversity and inclusiveness within the PACRAO community.

Immigration Statement

In alignment with PACRAO’s commitment to advancing equitable access, student success, and effective enrollment practices across the Pacific region, the Association affirms the importance of immigration policies that support all students in pursuing higher education. Building on AACRAO’s position, PACRAO recognizes that inclusive immigration policies strengthen institutions, communities, and the broader workforce.

PACRAO supports policies that expand access to postsecondary education for immigrant, undocumented, and international students, including the continuation of programs such as DACA and the development of clear pathways to legal status. We also advocate for policies that protect student privacy, support international student mobility, and minimize disruptions to educational environments.

As a regional association serving diverse institutions and student populations, PACRAO calls for practical, consistent federal guidance that enables admissions and registrar professionals to effectively serve students while maintaining compliance. PACRAO remains committed to advancing immigration policies that promote opportunity, stability, and student success.

Book Club

The DDC is expanding their annual Book Club session to provide year-round opportunities between the annual conference.   We will be picking three different books each year meaning more potential opportunities for individuals to find content that they are interested in engaging with (we anticipate reading fiction and non-fiction throughout the year).  As with all of our previous book clubs, the recommendation is that you have read the book, but it is not a requirement. You can see past Book Club selections on our Resources Page.
