The PACRAO Professional Development Committee is pleased to announce we are continuing to offer Conference Participation Grants for the Annual Conference. The process is outlined below. Contact Kent Kuo at kent.kuo@oregonstate.edu with any questions.

PACRAO Conference Participation Grants

As one means of serving the membership, PACRAO makes funds available to support participation in the Annual Conference. This year's Conference Participation Grants will cover the conference registration costs for up to five individuals. (Current members of the PACRAO Executive Board are ineligible.)

Grants are awarded to assist active members who attend the PACRAO annual conference. Special consideration is given to applicants who are first-time attendees, persons from under-represented groups or institution types, and members of institutions whose funds are especially limited. Conference registration costs will be waived for any individual(s) who are awarded the grant.

The deadline for Grant applications is October 15, 2011 for travel to the 2011 PACRAO Annual Meeting in Seattle, Washington (November 6-9th)

Applicants are asked to submit via email:

This cover sheet
A short letter of support from the applicant's supervisor/manager and/or from another PACRAO member outlining the benefit for the applicant.
A one-page written proposal including:
- reasons for applying a travel grant
- Applicant's Name, Title, Institution, Address, Phone, Fax, and Email
- If applying as member of under-represented group or institution type, please list the group or institution type in written proposal.
- estimated costs
- the amount of costs the applicant's institution is able to fund
